Video: addictive sex, gambling, etc, no adventure

Using drugs/sex/gambling or whatever always feels like an adventure while you are engaged in it. For example, if you’re trying to pick up a guy who will pay you for your time, and you hop in his car, you never know where you’ll end up. Honolulu isn’t a dangerous place compared to truck stops on the mainland where thousands of women have gotten into trucks with strangers and are never heard from again. Over here, women exchange stories about long walks back to downtown from Manoa Valley or Kalihi Valley or some other Valley. We took for granted how safe, relatively, we were here and we enjoyed laughing with others who could understand about what we had to go through to get our fix. We never thought about the end bc the end of the evening was always , miserably, the same, as this video explains.

  1. Hi Honolulugirl, been awhile. I was a client, a fan of your intellect, a cheerleader for your success. Addiction never quite loses its grip. Your blog reads like the AA stories, and I hope it is effective in helping you. Who is your audience? I’m asking‘cause I see your energy and I hope it reaches those in need or those who can help.

    • I love having a cheerleader and it’s great to know when it can feel very lonely
